Book trade

I occasionally do book trades with other authors, and I recently was approached by one of the splendid ladies from WORN magazine for a book/journal trade.  I happily accepted, and am now merrily working my way through reading a neat little stack of these wonderful journals.  For those of you unfamiliar with WORN, it is an excellently written fashion journals which breaks all the usual constraints of time and commercialism normally associated with fashion.  I highly recommend it!http://www.wornjournal.com/html/

Victorian modeling

Waisted Curves: My Transformation Into A Victorian Lady describes how my manner of dress leads to some quite unique opportunities - and the adventures are ongoing. (Perhaps a sequel will eventually be in order!)

A few weeks after completion of Waisted Curves, I had a wonderful experience modeling for a group of local painters.  We were recreating Manet's famous Victorian painting, "Nana."  It was an honor to pose for such a warm-hearted and kind group of artists.  You can see one of the results here:

And this was from an earlier sitting with the same group:

I'd like to give a special thanks to all the lovely folks who braved wind and floods to see Gabriel and me present "50 Years of Victorian Fashion" at Bremerton's Sylvan Way library today.  (You can read more about our clothing collection on my other website, www.chrismancollection.weebly.com .)  This presentation dovetailed quite nicely with the release of my new book, Waisted Curves: My Transformation Into A Victorian Lady, and I appreciate all the interest which was shown in it.  The book was only completed a few weeks ago, but readers from three different countries have already bought copies!  A hearty thanks goes out to them!

Order your copy of Waisted Curves... today!  Read the fascinating account of a modern woman living a Victorian life!
