1890s-style hat

Newest hat!  This one is based on a style which was very popular in the 1890s, but became totally unavailable within a few years.  The design is great for inclement weather, because it's compact enough to fit neatly under the protection of an umbrella, and there's no brim to catch the wind.


The body is textured Italian velveteen (100% cotton), lined with genuine silk.  It is trimmed with glass beads, peacock feathers, silk ribbons, and imported shot-silk from Thailand.  I'm keeping the prototype, but watch the "Hats" page -there'll be another one available for sale in a few days!
